I made that joke while talking music with a customer back when I worked at a grocery store. He told me he used to work with Matthew Good when I mentioned some music history about him. I made the joke about him being an asshole, and the guy just kind of bugged his eyes and went “yeah, he’s a real asshole”.

Still love his music, and the line “well I have a psychic / and she says I’m lonely / she says my destiny’s turning out all wrong” is one that I resonate with. 10/10 wish I could see him live.
